Where is Kar King Auto Repair located?
We're at 605 Northern Blvd, Great Neck, NY 11021 — right on the corner of Northern Blvd and Nassau Rd. Easy to find, plenty of parking.
What are your hours?
We're open 7 days a week, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM — including weekends and most holidays.
Do I need an appointment?
No! Walk-ins are always welcome. You can also book online for a guaranteed time slot, but it's never required.
How long have you been in business?
Kar King has been serving Great Neck since 2011 — over 13 years of honest, reliable auto repair.
Are your mechanics certified?
Yes. Our technicians are ASE Certified and trained on the latest diagnostic equipment. We work on all makes and models.
NYS Inspection
How much does a NYS inspection cost?
Safety-only inspection: $10. Safety + Emissions: $21. These are state-mandated fees — every official station charges the same.
Do I need an appointment for an inspection?
No appointment needed — walk in anytime during business hours. Most inspections take 15-30 minutes.
What if my car fails the inspection?
You'll get a rejection notice with details. You have 30 days to fix the issues and return for a free re-inspection. We can fix most failures on the spot.
How often do I need a NYS inspection?
Once every 12 months. Your inspection sticker shows the expiration month. Get it done before that month ends to avoid tickets.
Pricing & Payment
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We provide free estimates for most repairs. Just bring your vehicle in or call us with the details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), and debit cards.
Do you offer any discounts or coupons?

Scheduling & Appointments
How do I book an appointment online?
Click "Book Appointment" on any page, select your service, vehicle, preferred date and time, and confirm. You'll get a confirmation code via email and WhatsApp.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Yes. Use the cancellation link in your confirmation email, or call us at (516) 482-3388. We're happy to reschedule.
